Fire Safety Plans

Fire Safety plans and reports help building owners and managers set a plan in case of a fire emergency. This plan also notifies Fire Fighters of crucial information regarding your building in the case they need to intervene.

Fire Safety Plans are required, under the Ontario Fire Code, based on building use or occupancy types.
Under the Ontario Fire Code (section 2.8.1), a Fire Safety Plan is required for:

Assembly occupancy or care or detention occupancy,
Residential occupancy where the occupant load exceeds 10,
Business and personal services occupancy where the occupant load exceeds 300,
Mercantile occupancy where the occupant load exceeds 300,
High hazard industrial occupancy where the occupant load exceeds 25,
Medium hazard industrial occupancy where the occupant load exceeds 100,
Low hazard industrial occupancy where the occupant load exceeds 300
Buildings containing 4 storeys or more, including storeys below grade

Sprinkler System & Fire Alarm Design

Sprinkler and fire alarm systems are one of the primary sources of safety and security in terms of fire protection for a building and it's occupants. Our teams are competent and confident when it comes to design and verification of bespoke systems as per code.

Design fire alarm drawings in accordance with the CAN/ULC standards and all applicable standards. Drawings will include fire alarm system device layout drawings, electrical riser diagrams, zoning diagrams, sequence of operation, witness commissioning and sign-off on fire alarm systems.

We provide designs for additions/ modifications, renovations, tenant fit-ups, single- family homes, High-Rise residential buildings, Commercial buildings and warehouses and all types of occupancies.
All our drawings and documents are signed and stamped by a licensed Professional Engineer. After project completion, inspection of the installed system will be conducted. An engineer's signed and stamped letter required for occupancy will be provided.

Fire Hydrant Flow Test

Fire Hydrant installation, maintenance and testing is a constant responsibility of municipalities, general contractors and other industry specialists. BA Fire safety technicians are experienced in troubleshooting and testing hydrants as per local municipal requirements
